Baconbytes was born from a list of 100 things to do before you die.  That thing was to run a cult website.  The only thing i could think of that wasn’t properly cult-websited already was bacon.  So i registered a domain (or two) and then procrastinated for a few years.  I scoured the internet and discovered that nobody seems to have declared a national or international Bacon Appreciation Day.  I declared July 19th, 2005 the first ever Bacon Appreciation Day.  Perhaps some day hundreds of people will celebrate it with me.  For now i’ll just try and keep posting neat bacon things to this site.
